Very Mini Bathroom "Makeover"

I have been waiting for the day when I can display my pretty towels. And today is the day! When we moved in, the previous owners decided that wooden pegs in the wall were sufficient to hang towels on in the bathroom. Problem is, not only were the pegs hideous, they didn't allow the towels to dry properly. This might sound like the easiest home improvement project, but for some reason this one was a toughy. It took me about 2 hours to hang this towel rod (I have learned to always use my own drywall screws, not the ones provided). Anyway, here are the "before" and after pics of my very mini makeover. Soon I will be ready to show you the whole bathroom makeover, freshly painted vanity and all!

Falling in love with stencils, stripes and chevron

Isabella & Max Rooms

Sabbe Interior Design
Found some great inspiration and decided to share. I am trying to decide what pattern/color to use as an accent wall in my office. I am not ready to tackle wallpaper so I thought I would start with a stencil or some painters tape, sounds a little easier of you ask me! I am leaning toward the chevron pattern, only because it would be free. I have found a few allover stencils that I would love to use, but think my husband would appreciate a free project. So chevron it is! This is for him, he better love it:)

Living Room Redo - Mood Board

I put together a simple inspiration board for my mini living room redo. This is what I have come up with so far.
(not all the furniture is exactly what I have, but close enough!)

It will definitely need some tweaking here and there, but I think it will be a good jumping off point for my mini makeover.

Lighten Up!

It has been a slow process, but painting builder grade oak trim a crisp white can really transform any room. It is time to bring that clean look into our main living area. I have been putting it off because we spend most of our time in there, but now it is time. We currently have a lot of dark furniture in the space and I was not looking forward to spending a lot of money to transform this space. I am going to start with painting the trim white, adding some airy drapes, throwing some lighter colored pillows on the coach and switching the brown lampshade to a white one. I will probably make another trip to goodwill to look for some decorating accessories that can be spray painted a clean white. Here is some of my inspiration...

Before and Afters coming soon!
